ABOUT MULBERRY STABLES
We purchased the original 48 acre tract, now known as Mulberry Stables, back in March 2020. The property boasted only 7 stalls, 5 unmaintained paddocks and an unfenced "riding area." All 48 acres, with the exception of the hay field, was covered in blackberry vines and thistles! After cleaning the place up, We built 11 additional stalls, 3 wash racks, 2 tack rooms, 2 bathrooms, an office, a feed room, shop storage, separate hay storage, a 60 ft round pen and a 40m X 60m lighted arena.
We put a year's hard work into action and opened our doors in 2021.
Since then, we have been focused on creating a community founded on kindness, proper stewardship and a bit of fun!

We are constantly making improvements and have added a cover to our arena, permanent stocks, increased hay storage and 27 wooded acres of trails!

Turning this neglected piece of property into the community we call Mulberry Stables has been (and still is) a labor of love. We are excited to offer our 18-stall barn that you and horse will fall in love with!

We know the care for your heart horse is at the top of your mind. Rest assured, with Mulberry Stables, you and your horse will feel like family.

OUR STORY
We have both been avid, life-long horsewomen. Some might even call us Horse Girls!

Allison is our barn manager and instructor. She makes sure everything care-related runs smoothly! Allison also teaches our beginner/intermediate lessons. The kids love her ability to make learning fun!
Allison started her riding career at the ripe old age of 5 with her first horse, an Arabian gelding named Rok. After graduating UT Austin in 2011, she spent 4 years living abroad in Barcelona, Spain, where she started an English-speaking academy.
She likes to dabble in various disciplines including Dressage, Jumping and Barrel Racing. She is a member of the United State Pony Club (USPC) and a certified Spanish teacher!

Paige, our Head Trainer and Instructor, owned her first pony (a Welsh Cob mare named Ginger) and split her time trail riding and learning Hunt Seat as a child. While studying Journalism and Equine Science at SFA she competed with the IHSA H/J Team.
In 2008, she was introduced to Dressage by Ruth Keeling-Holt and it quickly became her passion.
As a professional trainer for over 15 years, Paige uses her expertise in Dressage and equine psychology to train the adult horse and rider combinations of East Texas. She is also a Parelli Level 3 (of 4) graduate.

We are all-around animal lovers and have 2 house dogs, Serrano and Mimosa and 2 house cats, Rambo and Pirate. And don't forget the barn cat Kitty Kracken!

When we aren't running the farm, we love to play board games and go camping. Allison plays several musical instruments and crochets while Paige enjoys photography and writing.
